Deployment Technician I

Summary: Responsible for following the directions of the Lead Technician while on a customer site, exhibiting professionalism and attention to detail, has the basic understanding of configuring, installing, troubleshooting and repairing desktop, network and systems infrastructure solutions for the end user by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Has strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities to keep track of multiple tasks.* 2. Good written/verbal communication skills, critical thinking and problem solving or troubleshooting skills.* 3. Configures, installs, troubleshoots and repairs desktop, network and systems infrastructure solutions for end users.* 4. Meets the billable/chargeable targets set by the company.* 5. Provides deployment and logistical support.* 6. Travels to Customer sites as needed* 7. Diagnosis, repairs (break/fix) and quality control.* 8. Assembles, configures and installs equipment (desktop computers, laptops, monitors, printers, etc.).* 9. Strong client service skills.* 10. Is team player, yet work well independently.* *Essential Function 11. End point configurations, imaging, asset tagging, laser engraving, staging etc* 12. Provides logistical support for shipping and delivery to local region. 13. Loads/unloads product/equipment. 14. Inventories/audits/stocks/ships/receives. 15. Warehouse duties (cleaning, sweeping, organization etc.) Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Paychex. Education/Experience: Associate's degree (A. A. / A. S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Specialized Training: Entry level desktop technical support experience. Certificates and Licenses: • Lexmark printer technician Certification *Essential Function • Dell Technician Certification • Lenovo Technician Certification • Valid Driver's License (required to drive, not required to go on deployment) • A+ Certification (not required, preferred) Equipment: • Pallet Jack • Automated Shrink-wrap Machine • Driving up to a 26' Truck (with Class C License) Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities: • Oral and written communication skills • Professionalism • Customer Service Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to Colder working conditions indoors (warehouse) winter and Warmer working conditions indoors (warehouse) summer. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather), work near moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather conditions, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Benefits: Health benefits (medical, dental and vision) are offered to eligible employees after three months of employment, and entrance into a 401(k) becomes available to qualified employees after six months with the company.
